Better You, Better Us

You are a human being (in case you forgot). This means you have dreams, ambitions, fears, weaknesses and strengths. Standing in front of the mirror in the morning we contemplate on how we can improve ourselves. And since you dedicate about 1/3 of your time to team5pm, we feel this is not just your responsibility, but a shared one.

Next to the fact that we feel we really want to help, this urge is not entirely altruistic. As a group of people we work in a competitive environment that changes every day. And when the rules of the game change, so should we. Our aim is to stimulate you to be who you are and act accordingly. New knowledge and skills of you as an individual, benefits us all as a team.

That’s why we say: better you, better us.

Our ‘Essential Skills’ program is an attempt to enable growth in your general mental and physical health, critical thinking skills, collaboration skills, subject specific knowledge and your effectiveness. But people are as diverse as sprinkles on a birthday cake, so there’s never a bullet proof one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to personal development. If you feel you need anything else on top of this: let’s talk.

Essential skills development within team5pm

To start with.

We do not make an explicit distinction between hard and soft skills or professional/personal or IQ/EQ.

Because, this suggests a distinction we don't believe in: you are present at work with your whole person, with all your skills, history, dreams and beliefs. You are welcome as you are, as long as this matches our cultural values - (we have looked at the match during your recruitment process so of course we will assume that’s the case).

To develop you further for the sake of yourself and team5pm (better you better us) we focus on a number of skills we consider essential.
